inDrive launches freight service in Morocco

7 November 2022, inDrive, a US based IT platform of urban services, launched a freight transportation service (Cargo) in two Moroccan cities Casablanca and Rabat in October, Based on successful experience of other countries in the Mena Region like Egypt, in aim to help private customers and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.

“The purpose of the launch is to provide individuals and small businesses with an affordable, fast and convenient solution for freight deliveries, Our service works good both for individuals and micro and small businesses (furniture shops and manufactures, construction materials, home appliances, etc) “ – said Marwan Hegazi, Business Development manager in MENA.

According to inDrive experience for this service, the freight transportation service is more often ordered for the transportation of large household appliances (refrigerators, stoves, etc.); furniture; equipment, as well as during relocations and during repair work.

“We are planning to expand Cargo service in Morocco specially we noticed the flow of freight transport between cities in Morocco which has a large population and big geographical area”

The business model of Cargo (How it works)

In the application the User will select the “Cargo” tab, indicate the delivery address, describe the cargo (upload a photo) and decide the price for the service. After submitting the order by client, drivers will begin to respond to the request with their offers. In each offer, the user will see the driver's price for freight delivery services, as well as their rating and feedback from other passengers. Then he/she can Choose the offer that works for him/her and call the driver.

The Cargo service in inDrive has many advantages such that the user can move any kind of Cargo Transport anything from a nightstand to an elephant. The main thing is to choose the right vehicle, at the initial stage, inDrive will not charge a service fee.
